Where Sky and Water Meet By Connie D. Phillips
Here, where sky and water meet, A cypress warrior, Tall as the moon, Guards the path to Ancient lands.
Within her ghostly pillars, Hidden from Nahullo’s eye, The little people Dance in shadows— The sacred steps of old.
Lie quiet now. Can you feel it? Deep in the earth, Drumbeats rise— The rhythm of our ancestors.
Shhh… can you hear? Elders whisper wisdom Older than the wind— The leaves move Under their breath.
My soul rests on sacred ground. I am renewed. I lie in the silence that knows me.

Where Sky and Water Meet
By Connie D. Phillips
Here, where sky and water meet,
A cypress warrior,
Tall as the moon,
Guards the path to
Ancient lands.
Within her ghostly pillars,
Hidden from Nahullo’s eye,
The little people
Dance in shadows—
The sacred steps of old.
Lie quiet now.
Can you feel it?
Deep in the earth,
Drumbeats rise—
The rhythm of our ancestors.
Shhh… can you hear?
Elders whisper wisdom
Older than the wind—
The leaves move
Under their breath.
My soul rests on sacred ground.
I am renewed.
I lie in the silence that knows me.
